In 2016, ChumpCar hired me to lead its marketing efforts. I had spent years participating in the sport, organizing events, building teams, and working with the people who made grassroots racing possible. Now I had the opportunity to help build the organization itself.
After retiring from the University of Virginia in 2017, I joined the organization full-time, initially concentrating on media and marketing. Over the years, my responsibilities expanded considerably.
Today, I serve as Director of Operations for the ChampCar Endurance Series, helping manage the day-to-day operations of a national endurance racing organization. It's a position that brings together nearly everything I've learned over the years: racing, event organization, communications, technology, and working with people.
