Weather today was extreme cold again. It really sucks having to work under the car port. If I could get the white MK2 MR2 out of the way, then I could move the Krylon V8 MR2 out of the heated shop, then move the race car in there and work. But I am snowed in still. First thaw and everything gets moved!

Made a template for the rear engine mount, then discovered that I was out of 3/16 steel. So I ordered some at www.speedymetals.com. $27 shipped for a 10"x12" 3/16" thick sheet. The rear mount is very different compared to the MK1.5 mount as we are using the S54 transaxle.
The front mount is done. Just have to get some new bolts for the front mount to chassis connector, and weld the mount together.

I also swapped out the shifter cables. I have a set of 3sgte MK2 MR2 cables installed in my 1986 MK1.5 MR2 (Purple Car), and just swapped them out. The purple car is getting the 200hp 4age one day, so those cables will work just fine in that car.

I reviewed the shifter in the car as well. I could build a RSm SS/T shifter for the car. But I think I would have to price it out at my retail, and that would be kind of pricey. So I have a 1991 MR2 N/A shifter that I am going to slice and dice, then just weld it back together for a DIY shorty. I have some left over SS/T drop plates that were slightly "off", I'll just fix one of these and drop that shifter right down inside the tunnel. Saw on eBay a short shifter for $9. Aimee and I laughed. It would probably be quicker just to by that. But I wont support those rip-off kits.
I'll use a TwosRus ball. I had a few of these laying around from samples.

I also drilled a hole in the rear trunk to run the ECU / Engine harness.
