This winter is really sucking! So much cold and snow. We are setting records with the snow. If I was into skiing it would be great. The news is reporting that 49 of our 50 states has snow on the ground. Hawaii is the only hold out. Pretty wild. Supposedly we are supposed to get smacked again on Monday and Tuesday with more white stuff.

Spent some more money on parts. Purchased a new fuel line from Aaron at Lithia Toyota. I was missing this part, so a new one had to be found. Plus upgrading twenty year old hose is most likely a good idea as fire really sucks.

Also picked up another gear bag for my safety gear from Speedway Motors. Makes it much easier to have a couple of large gear bags than a bunch of small generic sports bags. Less chance of losing something.

Most important, I picked up a 5-point harness made by Safety Racing from Speedway.

Also picked up a set of rubber hood latches for the rear trunk lid since I removed the locking and latch mechanism to save weight. These are actually a lot cheaper than I thought they would be. Rubber Latches for Speedway Motors.

Talked to David Hawkins earlier this week. We discussed tires and stuff. Going to run the 14" stock wheels with some sort of tire. Gotta find a sticky cheap and legal 205 60 14.
We also discussed running the ChumpCar race at Virginia International Raceway. The course will be the south course to include Oak Tree. Since this is my local track I really have to run this true 24 hour event. I am wondering which chassis would be better for VIR, the MK2 or the MK1 MR2.
